TexARTS Free Day of Dance Open House

TexARTS Spotlights Arts Education Programs with Free Day of Dance Open House LAKEWAY ? TexARTS Academy welcomes the community to an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015. The celebration will kick off the 2015-2016 Academy year and feature free dance classes and performances from recent TexARTS productions. In addition to participating in free dance classes and watching performances, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the studios, register for classes, and meet with TexARTS instructors ? many of who are Broadway veterans and serve on the faculty of the nationally recognized musical theatre program at Texas State University. Attendees can also enjoy light refreshments and a chance to win tickets to upcoming shows at TexARTS. The TexARTS Academy?s upcoming season includes: an original musical revue (Nov. 14-15), ?The Nutcracker? (Dec. 5-6), ?Holiday Extravaganza? (Dec. 12-13), and ?Annie Jr.? (Jan. 16-17, 23-24). Also coming soon, the TexARTS Professional Series presents ?Guys and Dolls? (Aug. 14-23). TexARTS is a nonprofit organization that offers year-round instruction in acting, voice, dance and the visual arts as well as completely staged youth and professional productions. TexARTS? mission is to cultivate a thriving arts community by exposing all people to the visual and performing arts.
