The Lakeway Police Department (LPD) is proud to participate in a collaborative effort with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), state and local law enforcement, to support the National Prescription Take Back Initiative, scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lakeway Police Department at 104 Cross Creek, Lakeway, Texas. The National Take Back Initiative provides an opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled and uncontrolled substances and other over the counter medications for destruction. These drugs are a potential source of supply for illegal use and pose an unacceptable risk to public health and safety.
