TOPIC: What Does it Mean to Have a “Total Online Presence” for Your Business?
PRESENTATION BY: Jeff Stec, Tylerica Systems, LLC
There are many moving parts involved in marketing and the online elements increase in importance with each passing day. But, marketing is a system, and to effectively operate this system you must assemble and integrate each of the important parts into something that looks like the whole. Your Total Online Presence is your key to success no matter what your business sells – no matter if all of your transactions are done face-to-face – no matter if you don’t yet see a way to get a return from your Facebook page – no matter if you’ve never bought an online ad. This talk is based on the principles of the renowned Duct Tape Marketing methodology. It will give a very brief introduction to the 7 steps of building a marketing system for your business, and then will focus on one of those steps – Developing a Total Online Presence. You won’t look at “the internet” or “marketing” quite the same after hearing this talk. |
Speaker’s Intro: Jeff Stec “Version 1.0” of Jeff’s career was in the high-tech industry where he worked at companies such as AT&T Bell Laboratories, IBM, and Synopsys, Inc. It was at Synopsys that Jeff learned sales support, consulting, and management skills. You might call this “career version 1.5”. In 2003, Jeff started career version 2.0 when he left the high-tech world behind and moved into the relatively low-tech world of house painting. Through owning and operating a house painting franchise, Jeff learned what it takes to operate as a small business owner who “wears all the hats”. One of those hats was Chief Marketing Officer where he applied techniques such as content-driven marketing and email marketing to the house painting business. In 2012, Jeff moved into “career version 3.0” and focused his sights on being a Marketing Consultant for small business. He has merged the consulting and management background from his high-tech days with his small business ownership experience in a way that adds value and a unique perspective to his clients. Jeff is a Duct Tape Marketing Authorized Consultant and Constant Contact Authorized Local Expert. His current focus is to help small business owners accelerate their growth and profitability by focusing on marketing as a system, not en event. |
