LTCC Non Profit Expo Luncheon
JUST ANNOUNCED! Suzanne Stone, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Austin and former Executive Director of the Lake Travis Education Foundation will be our guest speaker.
As a business owner or decision maker within your company, how do you navigate the complex and tricky business of charitable donations? Having been the person asking for your dollars for over two decades, she will share her insights and strategies for not only making an impact in your community but using those gifts to drive business to your door.
Guest Speaker
Suzanne is a graduate of Texas Christian University, a native of Louisiana and grew up in the shadow of Washington, D.C. Her career began in the television industry in Dallas, telling stories of the people and places which make Texas so unique. Earning a regional Emmy Award for her work, the production industry led her to Chicago, where she eventually traded producing television for teaching it in the non-profit and education sector in 1998. Public Access television was in its prime and a subsequent move to New York found her as Executive Director of an upstate station. After enjoying her four-year tenure as Head Coach of the local community college women’s basketball team while running the station, she headed back to Texas. Since arriving, she’s worked and led local non-profits around the state like Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and Children’s Miracle Network. Making the move to Austin, she took on the longest job title to date and served as the Executive Director of the Lake Travis Education Foundation and the Director of Corporate Development for LTISD. Today she is the Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Austin where she connects the community to a cause and continues to tell stories of amazing women and men battling breast cancer.
The Lake Travis Chamber NonProfit Expo promotes community excellence by creating awareness about vital resources available in the Lake Travis Area. Our goal is to provide a platform that makes essential services widely accessible to-the-public while encouraging partnerships among organizations interested in creating stronger alliances. Through the LTCC NonProfit Expo event, community causes can educate the public about their services, pursue donor participation, increase volunteer support and offer employment options to eager candidates.
