The Lakeway Players' latest production, Wild Dust:The Musical, which runs November 3, 4 & 5, has been cast, according to Barbara Calderaro who will direct the charming musical melodrama. It's 1887, and a dust storm is about to hit the town of Willow Creek. The West was still wild, but the wind was wilder. The worst dust storm in a decade is about to hit the town, and all the men have gone to drive the horses and cattle to safer shelter to ride out the storm. That leaves the women of town to fend for themselves in the only building strong enough to withstand the pounding sand - the town brothel. So four "fallen ladies" and three "ladies of the town" are thrown together for the next 72 hours, along with a mysterious cowboy and a dancing corpse! For three days they confront the elements, each other, and hardest of all - themselves. It's a comic romp with lots of slamming doors, mistaken identities, and one very dead body. No one is exactly what they seem, and everyone's got a secret hidden up their sleeve. The ''fallen'' ladies are Sally, played by Becky Ames, Marion, played by Julianne Debower, Denise, played by Cathy Rose, and Belle played by Theresa Lindgren, while the ''ladies'' of the town are Hard Cora, played by Linda Bradshaw, and Louise and her daughter Gertrude, played by Karen Decker and Lee Dilday, respectively. The role of Cooper, the handsome, mysterious cowboy is taken by Mark King, while Bill Walker plays the non-speaking, but crucial role of The Corpse! Nancy Nichols will be musical accompanist, and Maureen Mulrooney will choreograph the show. Tickets are $15.00 each and the seating will be tables of ten. Set-ups will be furnished. BYOB. Get up a table of your own, or we will assign reserved seats. Tickets will go on sale at the Activity Center October 1. Doors open at 7:00, and the show begins at 7:30. Wild Dust: The Musical is a comic romp that's not to be missed. For further info, contact Barbara Calderaro at barb
