The business challenge is documented in a recent Chamber survey - 61% of respondents indicated they have challenges hiring employees.

Respondents are perfectly capable of identifying the reasons: employees are not available locally (mismatch in skills, salary requirements, etc) and potential employees don’t want to put up with the long commutes, costs, and traffic.

There were even ideas proposed: more affordable housing opportunities, fixing the road infrastructure and operations (signals), etc. Whereas Lake Travis may well need these all of these solutions and more, it will be 10-15-20 years before they could be built and help with challenges you are facing today.
We are going to spend a few minutes discussing options other companies in Central Texas are already deploying, why they are doing it and which might be realistic solutions that can begin quickly for Lake Travis and then have ample opportunity for discussions.
